Hourihane: Most West Cork Hourihanes Y-DNA tested to date fall into R-CTS4466. Some of these are known to have used the name Howard.
There is some evidence that a group of Cork Hourihanes calling themselves Brien remotely match Horans and Hanrahans. Their haplogroup is not yet confirmed but could be under R-L513.
Some Hourihane yDNA data has been moved to the Cork Ireland project, where yDNA coverage can continue. The name seems primarily local to Cork.
Horgan and Horrigan: They largely fall into R-Z255. This group is showing a split between BY2853 and BY45179 some time in the second millennium. A small group of Hourigan falls under R-DF27. They seem to be from Connaught. You will need to search FTDNA for the new project covering these surnames.
Hanrahan: These appear to fall under two haplogroups. One group with Clare ancestry appear to be under R-L226. The others, mentioned above, might fall under R-L513, but this is not confirmed.
Horan: Some show that possible R-L513 remote relationship to Hanrahan and Hourihane-Brien.
Various others fall under R-M222, other haplogroups.
Good luck with your research.
